30 Days of Thanksgiving: Day 12
Today we're thankful for weekends. We can't imagine what life would be like if we had to work seven days a week and never got time off. Sometimes life can be a grind and it's just nice to know that every five days, we get to have some time to rest, relax, do things for ourselves, see friends & family, and just generally enjoy each others company. Life is meant to be lived as a rhythm with times of activity and times of rest and everything in between. If we're not intentional, it's easy to get caught up in a hectic swirl of never ending busyness that creates an unnatural and ever increasing pace to life that leaves little time to reflect on where our lives are headed, what we're trying to accomplish, or who we're trying to become. Weekends, vacations, and holidays all help provide a natural rhythm and break from the busyness of life and for that, we're thankful.
