We had a later-than-planned start to the day after a long night with a congested little girl. We had lemon blueberry muffins for breakfast and then headed out to a parade.
There was so much to see! Isabella was very intrigued and would say "More Drum", "more car boats" (referring to the old cars that were long like boats), "more motorcycle"...
"More Dog!"
But to these loud shiner cars, she said: "All done!"
We all enjoyed it and I think we will go back again next year. (But take chairs.) We stood for an hour and twenty minutes, but it didn't really feel that long. We left for home to prepare our post parade feast.
My sister spent the day with us. Isabella loves her Aunt Flower.
In the evening we headed downtown and had a picnic in the park with friends. Isabella was excited to see Ava!
Playing in the water while waiting for their first firework show.
Isabella was not sure what to think about the fireworks at first, but then started joining in with saying Bang! Bang! Toward the end she started saying "All done". It was a late night for her and she fell asleep on the way home.
It was a long day, and we were all really tired from little sleep, but we had lots of fun and enjoyed spending the day with my sister and friends. Happy Independence Day!
oh my word, I heart the pics of them holding hands!
