These are a few of my favorite things

I started this post in May, and realized I never finished it.

#1. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock 30 SPF

This is a great face sunscreen, that doesn't break me out or leave my face all greasy. Love it!

2. Fiber one bars- oats and chocolate.

I found these when I was doing weight watchers. Very fulling, and yummy.

3. Real Simple

My monthly real simple magazine

4. Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm

This is a super thick gloss that I put on at night when I go to sleep. It has a hint of peppermint for a slightly tingly feel. It is very moisturizing and I have used it for years now without fail. My sister won't be caught without it either!

5. Big train spiced chai

This is another delicious chai!!

6. Doughmakers
baking products

I have the cookie sheets, cake pan, bread pan, and pizza pan. My mom introduced me to these and we buy them at affair of the heart or the state fair. They work great and usually produce evenly cooked, non stuck foods.

7. Bath and body wall flowers

Our favorite scents are sweet cinnamon pumpkin, coconut vanilla, and cinnamon. I have some at home and one in my office at work.
*best to keep your plug in and then stock up they are on sale and you can get two refills for $6!

8. Wood wick candles

These candles smell great, even when they are not burning. They have a wood wick, that burns making a relaxing fire sound.

9. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers

How did I miss the invention of these? Our bathroom was redone when we bought our house, and I have wanted to keep it looking as new as possible for when we sell. There have been a few tough spots I hadn't been able to get clean in the bathtub until I recently discovered the magic eraser! Works great in the tub!

10. Ghiradelli milk chocolate caramel squares

Just one small square can quench my chocolate cravings! Delicious!!

What are your favorite things??

#9 Go to a free outdoor concert

Saturday night we went to Bricktown Blues & BBQ with the Kingcade's. It was fun to be out in "the city", do something different, and take advantage of things our city has to offer.

Aubrey and I listening to the band. She was my little sister in Gamma. It was so fun to hang out again!

Mitch and Me

I think my favorite quote from the night was: "I used to drink. But I don't anymore. I quit that crap. This song is about that..."

We had a fun busy weekend, and got to check some things off our "fun things to do this summer" list. I will post about those later. We kept the boys on Friday night and had lots of fun.

Michael and Isaac throwing rocks at lake hefner. You know it is often the simple things that are so fun! :)

Beautiful sky!

George being silly on the slide at Chick-fil-a

Isaac saying hello to us in the play place at chick-fil-a

Hope you had a fun relaxing weekend too!

Music Recommendation: Paddy Casey

So I just discovered this Irish guy on iLike and his music is really good in my opinion.

His sound, if it can be compared to anything, is somewhat similar to David Gray.

Check him out on MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/paddycasey.

Hope you like his stuff. I do.

Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Sister! We met Heather and David at Red Rock for dessert after their meal. I love Red Rock because looking out at the lake, I *almost* feel like I am on vacation and not in Oklahoma. They ordered before we got there AND they got all three of their desserts!

Crazy-Good!!

Walking around the lake

Happy Birthday to my sister and my bestie! :)

#30 Go to a Farmer's Market

We began with a stop to our fav the Kolache Kitchen on NW Expressway

Then we went to the OSU-OKC Farmer's Market where we were sorely disappointed in the selection or really the lack of any produce. So we decided to check out the Edmond F-M.

Heather looking at the glorious tomatoes

The Edmond F-M was great!! With a great variety of things. I got the best green beans, zucchini, yellow squash, cherry tomatoes, big tomatoes, blueberries and cherries. Best of all, I only spent $13, got great fresh produce, supported Oklahoma farming, and had a great time with my sister. I definitely will be going back!

#19 Go to a drive in movie

# 19 on the list is go to a drive in movie. Last night we went to the Winchester Drive-In and saw Indiana Jones, and Iron Man.

Heather and I with the sun setting and the screen behind us.

Amy and I sitting in Bill's truck during the movie.

The girls after movie #1.

It was fun just because it was something different to do. The movies were not the best I have seen, but we still had fun. When we go again, we will call to see what movies are playing because apparently their website is not always correct, and pack a picnic and drinks. Hooray for Summer!

Tail End

I slowed down posting the last couple of days of our vacation, but here are a few more.

We went to a turtle rescue center. This turtle is Allison, who only has one flipper remaining. They are giving her a prosthetic flipper that will make her the first "bionic" sea turtle.

Tiny turtles

Heather and I at 6 AM the day we left.

We got back last night after driving all day. We had a very relaxing time, and I am thankful for the time we were able to have away and experience another part of God's creation.
Tomorrow I start my job in a full time position, so there is little time to adjust to being back home. We are so blessed.

We made a list tonight on the way to the grocery store of 30 "just for fun" things we want to do this summer. I don't want to post the whole list, but we will post the things as we do them. Some are free and some cost some money- so be checking back to see our adventures! :)
Happy June 1st and summer!
