Breaking and entering...

As Michael was ready to lock the door early Saturday morning he realized he did not have the keys, and the handle on the door was locked. In 5 minutes he had broken into our bathroom window and was in! I don't think I will give the details of how he got in, but we were both glad he did and we could be off the lake! :)

6 years

We had our 6th anniversary on the third! We stayed in town for this one and did some things we had been wanting to do. Such as go to Musashi's!

Our cook did lots of fun tricks. Here is his onion "volcano". The food was all really great!

Us on the 6th year eve

We went the melting pot, one of our fav's, on our actual anniversary night.

This last year has been one of challenges and growth for us, in our relationship and individual lives. Currently, we are in a time of really questioning and seeking what God wants for us...with our time, money, and lives in general. It has been a true blessing to share the last several years with my very best friend, and I am excited to see where our journey is going.

Wow! It has been almost a month since our last post. We have lots of updates to do and little time. Here are just a couple of things for today:

This month my cousin Heidi and her husband moved back to America from doing mission work. We got to spend some time with them one night and meet sweet little Chelsea. We are inspired by them in many ways and it was so nice to spend time with them.

Chelsea was just content and happy as could be!

If you can't read it the sign on the side of this truck says "Dog Gone Critters". This man specializes in animal removal, along with his dog Digger "the critter dog". For an ENTIRE week I have not heard the sounds of squirrels running a muck in my attic. It is true that silence is golden!
Today is our 6 year wedding anniversary, and we will be celebrating at the Melting Pot tonight! More to come soon!

4th of July

We had a great Fourth of July. We cooked out and swam at Michael's grandparent's house in Norman with friends and family during the day.

Hanging out in the pool

Cute George who is just growing up so much

My sister told us about blackberry sprites, we tried one and they were DELICIOUS!!

In the evening we went to Yukon for their fireworks and the OKC Philharmonic,

I look awkward in this picture because I had just stood in line for 30 minutes for that uncle sam snow cone. The lines were crazy, Heather stood in the funnel cake line and it was just as long.

My friend Michelle was also there with her family

#6 Go to the lake with friends

We always have such fun going to the lake with Michael's family. We wanted to share the fun with friends sometime this summer. Here are just a few pictures from our fun time at Lake Murray.

Heather and I about to take off on "Big Mable"

Flying on big mable

Michael and Leo on Big Mable. They were a lot more adventurous than we were!

Swimming off the boat. See how you can see out legs in the water, instead of brown murky water! I love Lake Murray.

Ryan and Leo double skiing

We decided to go in when Michael checked the weather online and it said "those on area lakes should evacuate now..."
We had a great day!

#1 Go to the omniplex

#1 on the list is going to the omniplex. I have wanted to go to the Omniplex for a while. We went a few weeks ago when we had the boys. Or we went to the "omelet" as George called it.

Michael said they had most of the same exhibits there they had when he was a kid. I'm glad I had free passes from work because I was a little disappointed by the whole place. But the boys had fun and we got to do something else from our "Summer of Fun List". I can't believe it is July already! Enjoy summer while it lasts!

These are a few of my favorite things

I started this post in May, and realized I never finished it.

#1. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock 30 SPF

This is a great face sunscreen, that doesn't break me out or leave my face all greasy. Love it!

2. Fiber one bars- oats and chocolate.

I found these when I was doing weight watchers. Very fulling, and yummy.

3. Real Simple

My monthly real simple magazine

4. Beauty Rush Soothing Lip Balm

This is a super thick gloss that I put on at night when I go to sleep. It has a hint of peppermint for a slightly tingly feel. It is very moisturizing and I have used it for years now without fail. My sister won't be caught without it either!

5. Big train spiced chai

This is another delicious chai!!

6. Doughmakers
baking products

I have the cookie sheets, cake pan, bread pan, and pizza pan. My mom introduced me to these and we buy them at affair of the heart or the state fair. They work great and usually produce evenly cooked, non stuck foods.

7. Bath and body wall flowers

Our favorite scents are sweet cinnamon pumpkin, coconut vanilla, and cinnamon. I have some at home and one in my office at work.
*best to keep your plug in and then stock up they are on sale and you can get two refills for $6!

8. Wood wick candles

These candles smell great, even when they are not burning. They have a wood wick, that burns making a relaxing fire sound.

9. Mr. Clean Magic Erasers

How did I miss the invention of these? Our bathroom was redone when we bought our house, and I have wanted to keep it looking as new as possible for when we sell. There have been a few tough spots I hadn't been able to get clean in the bathtub until I recently discovered the magic eraser! Works great in the tub!

10. Ghiradelli milk chocolate caramel squares

Just one small square can quench my chocolate cravings! Delicious!!

What are your favorite things??
