Halloween

The last of our Halloween celebrations have come and gone. Luckily I documented them. We had Trunk or Treat at our church last Sunday.
Isabella had a star painted on her hand and an OU on her cheek.

She loved jumping in the jump house

Waiting for her turn to play the "holy ghost" game.

I've been loving the full moon this week. Perfect for a Halloween week!

On Halloween we didn't have much going on, so we made Halloween sugar cookies. Baking with a two year old is much different than doing it on my own. I tried to be patient with her and just let it be fun as she would smash her fingers all in the dough like it was play doh. We made a colossal mess...but had fun doing it.  I think her favorite part was the rolling and sprinkles.

The plate we took up to daddy's work.

That night Michael's family brought over hideaway pizza, we ate, and then got out the costume for the last time. (Unless she wants to wear it around the house some time). We headed out for a quick trick or treat in our neighborhood before church, and not because she needed anymore candy. But I was excited to be able to take her. Last year at Halloween she was standing and taking a few steps, but not really walking. How much has changed!
Our cupcake ready to do her first trick or treat!

Walking up to the first house.
She looks so big! Once she figured out what was happening, she said "Let's go to another one!"

I kept smiling. I was so happy to watch her.

Happy Halloween!

Football time in OKLAHOMA!

I made my return to OU football after a 2 year hiatus. (What could that be related to?)

I got to go to the OU vs. Notre Dame game which was a big game for many reasons.

The beginning of my one of my favorite parts of the game.

It always seems like he might fall over...but I haven't seen it yet. Michael can be found doing this around the house on the morning of first game of the year. The excitement just takes him over.

Thousands of white towels waving

Too bad the white towels could have been seen as a sign of defeat, and we lost. But I had fun just being there with Michael and taking in all the sights of the game.

Storybook forest

We went to Storybook Forest out out at the lake with some friends this week. Going on a weeknight was much better than going on the weekend. There was no wait at all at the gate to get in.
Story time

Sweet baby Todd dressed up as a frog

 The entrance to the forest

Picking up the candy Rapunzel threw down to her from her castle.

Wonder

Isabella loooooves candy, and was excited to realize there was candy at each stop. She would get her candy and then say, "go to next one?"

We all had a fun time!

Orr family farm

We went to the Orr Family Farm on Friday for some fall fun.
Picking out her pumpkin

Riding the train.
The train was broken when we first got there much to our kids dismay, and the train was the main reason I wanted to go to this pumpkin patch. Isabaella asked about 20 times..."Ride train? I ride train?" Luckily they fixed it while we were still there.
My mom was on fall break so she got to join us.

We had such a fun time! I love getting to make all of these fun memories with Isabella and experience life through her eyes.

Weekend

Michael left the hotel while we were sleeping to head to the OU/Texas game. (His friend took this great pic at the game).

The girls got up and ready, headed out for a yummy breakfast at Corner Bakery, and off on our own adventures.
Checking out the longhorn trail.

The carousel at Stonebriar mall.
My child is TERRIFIED of riding on an animal on a carousel. But she will ride on a bench.
Luckily there was a bench open. And there usually is, since most kids want to ride a horse.

She loved the play area and was able to get out some energy.
And later we rode the carousel a 3rd time.
We had a fun weekend in Texas with Michael's family. I was glad we won the game so the hillbilly's didn't come out to jeer us back to Oklahoma!

We get together with our old college friends every 2nd Sunday night of the month. We hosted at our house this time. I didn't get any pictures of us together.
After dinner Isabella painted a pumpkin. She was unsure what to do at first, and asked for some paper to paint on.

But after a while, she went after it.

I carved a pumpkin.

Happy Fall!
And now that I am finally posting...the next weekend is pretty much here!
