Breakfast and playing with my mom and chickfila before she left for Australia for the month.

Mom left us money to go to the cookie shop while they were in Australia and wouldn't be able to bring us cookies. :)

Michael was home for lunch one work day and the three of them had a "rockin'" dance party.

Playing in the kinetic sand at the library family story time.

Headed to the toddler tea party at church

We had our own tea party at home during Benjamin's nap time later that week

Celebrating Harrison

My dear friends gave me a beautiful shower in celebration of Harrison joining our family.
The sign in sheet was a tree with the guests' finger prints for leaves. So cute!

So much yummy food! And delicious cupcakes!!

Bowtie napkins

Isabella was very excited to attend the shower with me! And chose our matching blue dresses.

So many sweet things!

Thank you sweet friends!! I felt so loved and celebrated. I know what hard work it is to prepare and give a shower, and I appreciated it so much!

4th of July

On 4th of July Eve we went to dinner with the Isenbergs and then to Red, White, and Boom at the fair grounds.
Our crazy crew at Pops in Nichols Hills.

Waiting on the philharmonic to start.

The kids played trouble for a while waiting for things to start.

Benjamin loved the fireworks!! He was so sweet taking them in! He said his favorite ones were the red and green ones.

And Isabella said she was so glad she got to go to Disneyworld and her wish came true that she isn't scared of fireworks anymore!

4th of July morning we went to the parade with the Andersons. The kids enjoyed waving their flags and seeing the parade. Isabella's favorite part was the tiny horses, and the Shriners that rode in little cars and motorcycles and did tricks. And Benjamin said his favorite part was all of the firetrucks and tractors.

It was soooo hot. I was over it by time it was finished. Benjamin enjoyed it a lot more than it looks in this picture!
After the parade we came home and had lunch, we all took naps, went swimming, then got ready for a cook out with the Roberts.

We had a big dinner feast and dessert together. We'd planned to go see some fireworks that evening, but our kids were falling apart and melting down by 7:30 after not getting to bed til 11:30 the night before. So we sadly had to scrap fireworks and get them to bed. I watched the Boston Pops firework show on TV after they were in bed, which was incredible!! But, of course not the same as being somewhere live. It was a low key 4th in many ways, but we still enjoyed our time with friends and family. Happy 4th of July!
