Emily came to meet Harrison a couple of weeks after he was born and took some family photos for us. There were so many more and some really sweet ones of just him and me...but I didn't save them to my hard drive and the link for them expired. So some day I need to get them all again. Thanks so much for capturing this season for us Emily!

One month
Harrison is already one month! He's been along on a some family adventures, had his first time to church, and first few baths. We take naps together every day while sister is at school and big brother naps too. He is a content little guy unless he is tired or hungry. We had a weight check and a few biliruben checks the first week. But at his 2 week appointment he had gained a lb and a half...so he is doing well. Look at those rolly arms!! So sweet!
First bath
He was not a fan of getting dried off.
Happy one month Harrison Lee!

Harrison's Newborn pics
After much debate I decided to do Harrison's newborn photos instead of hiring someone. My friend Sara who does photography offered to help me and that sealed the deal. I started regretting it the day before since I'd had someone else do the other two kids' photos, but I ended up being happy overall with how they turned out.
Sara set up a lot of the poses and I took the pictures. It made me wish I'd had an assistant with other newborn shoots I've done. So much easier to have someone else doing the posing while I'm getting the camera set and can start shooting immediately when baby is ready.
The other nice thing about hiring someone for photos is having someone else to do all of the culling and editing. Plus newborns are so tricky to edit with their splotchy skin and tones. Hopefully I'll finish them all one day, I just picked through and chose my favorites and left the others for now. It took us all day, but it was fun having a friend to do it with. Thanks so much Sara!

Happy Birthday Harrison!
Harrison was born on September 3rd in the early morning hours at 3:12.
Welcome to our family Harrison!
The big kids came to meet him later in the morning. We put him in the bassinet before they came in to meet him. They were so sweet and excited to see him.
I read this book in a book store when Isabella was a baby and made a note of it. And after being pregnant with my third baby I had this vision of reading it to my big kids when they came to meet the new baby in the hospital, all piled in the bed together. I knew it was possibly unrealistic as, visions I have of things I want to do with my kids don't always pan out...you can never predict their cooperation. Haha!
But they actually sat in the bed with me and we read the book together. And the moment was everything I dreamed it would be, from their first meeting with Harrison to us reading together. After the story we gave them their big sister/big brother gifts. It felt very surreal, but was a wonderful moment and I tried to soak it all in through my exhausted state.
Isabella made this picture to bring to Harrison at the hospital.
All clean after his first bath the next morning. (Happy 35th birthday Michael)
Sweet blonde hair!
Happy birthday Harrison!! We are so grateful for your life and thank God for the blessing of you!

Celebrating Harrison
My dear friends gave me a beautiful shower in celebration of Harrison joining our family.
So much yummy food! And delicious cupcakes!!
Isabella was very excited to attend the shower with me! And chose our matching blue dresses.
So many sweet things!
Thank you sweet friends!! I felt so loved and celebrated. I know what hard work it is to prepare and give a shower, and I appreciated it so much!
The sign in sheet was a tree with the guests' finger prints for leaves. So cute!
